Acer palmatum 'Baby Lace' Laceleaf Japanese Maple

Acer palmatum 'Baby Lace' Laceleaf Japanese Maple

Acer palmatum 'Baby Lace'

Laceleaf Japanese Maple

Zones 5-9

Acer palmatum 'Baby Lace' is a charming dwarf Japanese maple featuring tiny, finely dissected reddish-orange leaves that create a delicate lace-like appearance throughout the growing season. Originating as a witches’ broom selection from Acer palmatum 'Ornatum', this compact cultivar develops a dense, mounded habit ideal for containers, rock gardens, fairy gardens, and small landscape spaces. In autumn, the foliage transforms into a brilliant orange-red display that provides a true ā€œwowā€ factor in the garden. ā€˜Baby Lace’ prefers partial sun with protection from harsh afternoon heat and requires very well-drained soil to thrive. It can be somewhat finicky in cultivation and benefits from careful attention to watering, drainage, and site selection. In 10 years, it typically reaches about 2 ft tall by 2 ft wide. This cultivar should not be confused with Acer palmatum 'Baby Lace Lexington', which is a distinctly different selection.

Limited Quantities Available !! As we have over a thousand cultivars of Japanese maples, we often do not have many of each cultivar. We recommend that you buy the Japanese maples you want immediately as we often sell out of certain selections.
