Calycanthus floridus ‘Michael Lindsey' is often considered one best of the Carolina allspices. The 2 inch blooms are exceptionally fragrant in mid-to-late spring. These blooms are nice red brown and contrast nicely against the large dark green foliage. In the fall, 'Michael Lindsey' typically puts on a show of bright yellow fall color.  ‘Michael Lindsey’ may reach 6 ft in height in width in 10 years.
