It is said that the name 'Murasaki-no-sato' translates as āPurple Villageā. Ā This newer selection of Japanese anise was brought over from Gifu, Japan, by our good friend, Ted Stephens. āMurasaki-no-satoā has a more conical habit reaching 6-8 ft in height by 5 ft in width in 10 years.
